Typically, medical professionals serve an entirely different function than does a Skincare Coach. They specialize in medical examination and consultation, surgery, health check recommendations, and prescriptions. In particular doctors and plastic surgeons often don't have time or passion to look across the scope of products, formulations, and ingredients in the beauty industry acquire ingredients or product knowledge at the level a Skincare Coach does. That’s the void! Here’s the question: “Why wouldn’t you have a virtual or in-person coach for your skin?”
A Skincare Coach comes up with creative yet science-based methods and techniques to meet their client’s unique skincare needs and anti-aging requirements. Skincare Coaches ideally ask about the client’s goals and establish a long-term relationship that spans many decades of a client’s life. For many Skincare Coaches, this part of their coaching practice is fulfilling and thoroughly exciting – perhaps even going so far as to say it’s one of the most satisfying and worthwhile career options in the entire beauty industry! The reason why many people haven’t gotten professional designations or certifications for Skincare Coaching is quite simple: TIME and MONEY! If you go to a beauty school, credentials and/or certifications cost a lot of money AND take a lot of time. PLUS, most beauty schools concentrate on hair and nails making skincare the Cinderella of the beauty schools! That means if you don’t want to be a hairdresser or nail tech, you’re wasting a lot of time and money! In the USA, most schools charge the equivalent of what it would cost you to buy a car and you’ll be out of work studying for a year! We knew that there was a much better way to serve people who wanted to get into this profitable and growing field – that’s why this certification is so important. Learn More

Plus, many clients will insist on some form of proof that you’re competent! A lack of great certification programs or proof that gives clients confidence has been problematic for Skincare Coaching.

The number one reason why clients engage Skincare Coaches is because they want to be granted the time to look at what they're currently using and ask skincare questions from someone who knows how to look at products and ingredients holistically. They want someone to tailor answers to their questions and to find workable and budget-fitting solutions to their specific skincare goals. They are looking for someone who has the time to listen to their skin care concerns and goals. Dermatologists, doctors, and treatment-oriented aestheticians simply don’t have the time to provide this type of coaching advice or service. And if they do, they charge a lot more money than Skincare Coaches typically do.
