What is a Skincare Coach?

When people want to get fit, they will hire a personal trainer to hold them accountable and to show them the ropes. If someone needs help decluttering their life, many turn to a Professional Organizer to help them jumpstart the process. If you have a specific skincare challenge or are in the situation where you just want information and a path forward to figure out which skin care regime might work best for you, finding a coach with skincare experience can be highly effective and cost-effective. Think of all the money a client might save on products knowing how many expensive bottles and jars they’ve thrown away in the past! And they'll be SUPER THANKFUL to refer you to their friends to help them look better and save tons of frustration and cash!

Skincare Coaches:

1. Research and discuss skincare options.

2. Make suggestions on what ingredients to use and which to avoid.

3. Discuss treatments for skin issues, habits, antiaging, and other problems.

4. Listen to their clients’ questions, hear their concerns, pay attention to their goals, and educate them.

Basic Process Of Skin Care Coaching

1.Uncover the client’s goals.

2.Analyze the situation, actions and behaviors required to meet those skincare goals.

3.Explain how to potentially and realistically achieve those skincare goals. 4.Walkthrough the options that are available within any client constraints. 5.Examine the pros and cons and possible ways to achieve that goal

6.Assist the client in working through the best solution for the client using questions and feedback.

7.Determine how best the client can hold themselves accountable (with the coaches ongoing support and backup) to ensure they take the steps required to achieve the goal.

If you answered yes to any of these, Skincare Coach Certification is for you!

1. Have you ever wondered why people ask your advice about what to use on their skin?

2. Do you love exploring skincare ingredients and products?

3. Do you want to help people look their best and help them find ways to look younger, fresher, more vibrant?

4. Have you ever wondered if there was a way for you to make this into a profitable business or just make extra money as a side hustle?

What do students think about the Skincare Coach Certification Program?

“I've been in the skin care industry for 30 years. I finally got certified and thankfully chose this program. the videography was professional. The editing was beautifully done. But most importantly the content was the best I've ever seen! I didn't think I'd learn a lot because of my experience however, I found out that I wasn't really a skin care coach. I was really telling clients what to do without listening terribly well. Not only did this course provide comprehensive professional skin care information that fabulous level, it taught me truly how to be a true skincare coach!”

Delia Forrest Charlotte, NC

“The biggest benefit is that it gave me such a lot of knowledge and confidence. It’s not some 45 minute or hour-long course – this is amazingly comprehensive! The thing is, I was really doing non-certified Skincare Coaching with friends already; but without enough knowledge or background. Now that I have the certification, I am now starting to actually sell some products as a side hustle. I made over $1,500 in my first month – part-time!”

Delia Forrest Charlotte, NC

“I was a bit worried after I clicked the button because I had no professional knowledge about skincare. I wasn’t qualified and never even did biology at school all those years ago. I just love beauty products and my friends always come to me for advice and such. Wow, wow, wowza! Love, love, LOVE this course! I didn’t know what I didn’t know!”

Filling An Industry Void

Filling An Industry Void

Skincare Coaches fill a void in the skin care industry. The bottom line is that medical professionals typically don't have the time to go through the questions and answers clients may have about skin care products, routines, habits, and maintenance - so it doesn't get done. Clients are left wondering what to do about minor skin care issues like pimples, wrinkles, sun spots as well as skincare maintenance including anti-aging strategies, techniques to deliver healthy looking skin, and what they might do to improve their appearance.

Typically, medical professionals serve an entirely different function than does a Skincare Coach. They specialize in medical examination and consultation, surgery, health check recommendations, and prescriptions. In particular doctors and plastic surgeons often don't have time or passion to look across the scope of products, formulations, and ingredients in the beauty industry acquire ingredients or product knowledge at the level a Skincare Coach does. That’s the void! Here’s the question: “Why wouldn’t you have a virtual or in-person coach for your skin?”

Improve Overall Skin Health And Appearance

Skincare Coaches understand that one of the primary goals of engaging a Skincare Coach is to improve the overall appearance of the skin. Skincare Coaches look at the body’s largest organ in a holistic way. This requires looking at the entire body’s skin areas. For example, facial skin requires different skin care advice and product recommendations than areas like the hands, cuticles, feet, or heels. Skincare Coaches educate clients in how to evaluate skin care products appropriately for their situation and for the area of the body they want to improve.

A Skincare Coach comes up with creative yet science-based methods and techniques to meet their client’s unique skincare needs and anti-aging requirements. Skincare Coaches ideally ask about the client’s goals and establish a long-term relationship that spans many decades of a client’s life. For many Skincare Coaches, this part of their coaching practice is fulfilling and thoroughly exciting – perhaps even going so far as to say it’s one of the most satisfying and worthwhile career options in the entire beauty industry! What will you learn as a Skincare Coach?

The Skincare Coach Certification Program is designed to help you assess what is important for your clients and then help align their skincare goals to make positive changes in their life and appearance. You will learn how to:

1. Analyze your client’s current skincare behaviors and habits

2. Determine what they value and desire

3. Uncover their goals to determine exactly what needs to be done to successfully achieve those skincare goals.

The Issue

The reason why many people haven’t gotten professional designations or certifications for Skincare Coaching is quite simple: TIME and MONEY! If you go to a beauty school, credentials and/or certifications cost a lot of money AND take a lot of time. PLUS, most beauty schools concentrate on hair and nails making skincare the Cinderella of the beauty schools! That means if you don’t want to be a hairdresser or nail tech, you’re wasting a lot of time and money! In the USA, most schools charge the equivalent of what it would cost you to buy a car and you’ll be out of work studying for a year! We knew that there was a much better way to serve people who wanted to get into this profitable and growing field – that’s why this certification is so important. Learn More

The Solution

Now that you understand why people other than beauty school graduates haven’t become certified as skincare coaches in the past, you’ll figure out that we’ve changed this!

  • The Skincare Coach Certification focuses on ‘everything skincare’. We don’t do hair, nails, or anything else!

  • You don’t have to quit your job! This course is fully online which means you study whenever and wherever you like.

  • You can study at your pace – there are no time restrictions. You can go as fast or as slowly as you like.

  • There are no clinical hours or hands-on hours required for certification.

  • The designation is international. You can use your designation across the world.

  • After successful completion, you can display and use the ICA Skincare Coach Certification Designation Skincare Coach Certification CSC on approved materials (business cards, website, social media, etc.) in any approved manner that is authorized by the ICA.

  • Why is Skincare Coach Certification important?

If you want to run a profitable Skincare Coaching practice, you should be certified to do so. In fact, in many places, you won’t be able to stay in the field and help clients with their skincare goals without certification and/or credentials. Plus, many clients will insist on some form of proof that you’re competent! A lack of great certification programs or proof that gives clients confidence has been problematic for Skincare Coaching.

    Course Completion

It is very important to note that the completion of this course including passing the final examination (which is a multiple choice examination electronically submitted) will result in an International Coaching Association (ICA) Designation. The Skincare Coach Certification Program is adjudicated through the International Coaching Association (ICA) which is a world-renowned certifying body that has been in existence for more than 30 years. Coaches having successfully completed the training will be entitled to display the ICA logo and use the ICA Skincare Coach Certification designation CSC on approved materials in the manner authorized by the ICA.

Please note that you must adhere to all local laws and regulations.

MAKING MONEY AS A SKINCARE COACH

The Skincare Coach Certification Program is not only rich in content but guides you on how to have important coaching conversations with clients to make sure they understand how important Skincare Coaching is if they take the information you provide on board. As a Skincare Coach, you’ll help point people who are seeking skincare knowledge and guidance in the right direction – and you’ll be making money doing so!

As a Certified Skincare Coach (CSC), you’ll discuss skincare topics and go through options with clients as they work to attain their skincare goals. Therefore the ability to start — and hold — a competent Skincare Coaching conversation is a vital skill. Throughout the Skincare Coach Certification Program, you will see and hear examples of what Skincare Coaches actually say to clients about the topics under discussion. This makes this program somewhat unique and extremely valuable. The program will teach you how to have goal-related conversations with coaching clients so that you can incorporate the session’s knowledge and your unique experience and apply it to become a well-rounded Certified Skincare Coach (CSC).

What do Skincare Coach Clients have to say?

“If you don’t have a Skincare Coach – get one! Why? I asked my dermatologist for at least 3 years why I was getting under-surface bumps that would turn into pimples in the summer on my chin and nose. All my doctor said was to use a cheap drugstore cleanser that everybody would recognize! Yes, it cleared up, then caused other issues because it dried out the rest of my face! I dreaded summer. Diane (my coach) grilled me on what I was doing. She actually watched me do my whole routine on a videochat. Halfway through she said, what are you doing now? I said, putting on my moisturizer. She said, what about your toner? I said, I don’t use one. Guess what, we added that ONE THING and I experienced NO MORE ISSUES!!!!!! And that's the story of why I did the Skincare Coaching Certification and now I do for my clients what Jackie did - she literally saved my skin!”

    Jenny

“Sarah introduced me to this amazing program. She spent so much effort and time on helping me understand Skincare Coaching! And it was so wonderful that she did! From my point of view, I had dozens and dozens of expensive products that I would recommend to clients. Very few customers actually reordered from me and I know now why -- it was confusing to them and to me to keep track of it all - plus they didn't really understand their skin and why the products I was recommending were good for them. I wasn't COACHING them - I was SELLING! Sarah started with my personal regime and took me through the Skincare Coaching process so that I would know what my clientele would be doing through with me. We got all the products out on the table, went through them and tossed half of them out immediately. Even though I was in the skincare business, most of them were either not the right thing for my skin – too harsh, too drying, not age-appropriate – or they were working against each other formulation-wise. Plus doing it like that - they weren’t ever going to deliver on my goals! Then we narrowed the rest down into a really solid regime that cut my confusion down a thousand percent, and my time down to a few minutes morning and evening. 6 short weeks later and a huge improvement in texture, color, and feel! And guess what, during the process, I went through this program, got certified and I've seen a huge jump in client results and reorders - HUGE!”

Time is the Number One Reason Clients Engage a Skincare Coach

The number one reason why clients engage Skincare Coaches is because they want to be granted the time to look at what they're currently using and ask skincare questions from someone who knows how to look at products and ingredients holistically. They want someone to tailor answers to their questions and to find workable and budget-fitting solutions to their specific skincare goals. They are looking for someone who has the time to listen to their skin care concerns and goals. Dermatologists, doctors, and treatment-oriented aestheticians simply don’t have the time to provide this type of coaching advice or service. And if they do, they charge a lot more money than Skincare Coaches typically do.
